POETRY

A series of manipulated photos and corresponding poems that attempt to explore the dark but beautiful pitfalls of modern society. Surreal landscapes and narratives that could just as much be taken from the future as they could be from dreams that contain symbolism ushered in by old films or songs. 'Good Vibrations' inspired by the Beach Boys song tries to question if happiness lies in solitude and 'The Carpet' explores the relationship between a persons vices and their own identity. Finally 'The Truman Show' tries to ask if we feel the proportionate amount of paranoia in relation to the extent that we're being watched and recorded, have we become so used to surveillance and social media that it no longer matters or do we trick ourselves into thinking that it's all okay?
